Jayden's new ability (4 of 4) - Lift head up

We let Jayden sleeps in prone lying position since he was one month old. Since then, he already expert in turning his head left and right, but not lifting it up for long time.

One of these days, Jo found him awoke from sleep and was looking at something infront of him, with head lifted up! Jo did not make any noise but observe how long he could last. Surprisingly, he lifted his head up for quite a long time! Another great milestone he achieved!

Jayden's new ability (3 of 4) - Flying on bouncer

Other than sleeping time, Jayden spends most of his time on the bouncer, together with his 'elephant and giraffe' pillow. He will hold his pillow, kiss it and talk to it. I should describe it better - lick it and make e-e-ar-ar sounds. Haha...

He has something new these days. He flies!

Jayden was about to hold another stripe of the bouncer. He looked at me when he found me taking his photo.

Both hands holding now... pura-pura looked to another side...

Then... quickly took one hand off from one stripe and both hands holding the same stripe!

1... 2... 3... FLYYYYYYYYY~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have a bouncer pilot in my house now!

Jayden's new ability (2 of 4) - Holding

My sister bought Jayden a few shakers and I always use it to attract his attention when he is about to cry. And I always try to make him hold it by himself but fail.

That day, my mum tried it again. Jayden managed to hold the shaker very well. I was so surprised and happy! He looked at the shaker, then looked at us, then looked back at the shaker again. My mum taught him how to shake the shaker, then he started doing it, and did it quite well!

Jayden was looking at the shaker that he managed to hold the first time! Look at his little hand, he held it so tight!

He turned to me when he knew I wanted to take a shoot of his first time in holding thing.

Now, Jayden can hold his shaker, toys or teething with both hands. Sometimes, he holds his milk bottle when my mum feeds him.

Jayden's new ability (1 of 4) - Being acrobatic

We always put Jayden into his baby cot after we bring him back from my mother's house. These days, he is no longer just looking at the ceiling or things on his left or right. He is looking towards something more 'challenging' and fun!

This is Jayden's normal position when we put him into his baby cot.

After a while, he will turn his body to one side and start performing his new skill.

There he goes! From the same angle, he looks like a "180°-turned C" rather than the "N" we saw in previous picture.

Ha! My little acrobatic boy~~

Jayden in mummy's album

Smiling to camera

I mentioned earlier about difficulty in taking Jayden's photo, but not anymore now! I realised it two days ago when I was trying to take his photo.

I was trying my very best to attract his attention in looking at me while hiding my camera. He noticed it and looked straight to my camera. As expected, he looked very serious. But more relaxed after a while, then turned into a smiling face! I was so surprised!

Jo always think of making Jayden a baby star in advertisement. I think Jayden is on the right track now. He knows how to react correctly to camera... ha!

I am 4 years younger...

It is time for annual medical checkup! My company has arranged it for all employees and I went for mine this morning. This is my first medical checkup after delivery...

Similar to any other medical checkup, they will need my blood and urine. I like this medical checkup because they also check on body age. Basically, I just stand on a machine, to which they key in my height and my actual age. The machine then takes my body weight and fat content. Base on some magical formula, I get my body age.

There is another test I like - lung age. Again, there is a machine to which they key in my data. To perform the test, I need to inhale as much as I can and give a loud and big exhale into the machine when I am ready, and continue with smooth and long little exhale. The key point is to blow out big air at the beginning and maintain it with long continuous exhale until the end, to show your lung is in good function.

The results from these two tests will normally become a hot topic in our office. Everyone will be talking about it and laughing at each other. In fact, I like these two tests because I enjoy looking at how we react to it. We always have a big laugh!

Here comes my result: my body age is 25 years old this year - 4 years younger than my actual age but 7 years older than last year body age. And guess what? My lung age is 51 years old!! Ha...

Jayden in his new suits

Jayden is growing bigger and needs new clothes. We bought him some from FOS Kids and Teens. It was quite a good offer. Nice design, comfortable material, good quality... and it's only 2 for RM16 or 2 for RM20! We bought one long sleeve t-shirt, two rompers, one long pants and one shorts for Jayden. We also bought t-shirts for our friend's sons and a nice little pink shirt for our niece, Ashlynn.

This is the one I like the most. Jo and I find him looking cute wearing this. Again, Jayden found me taking his picture! He looks serious... or maybe a bit shocked.

I secretly took his picture when he was watching TV. Yes, he was watching TV and he likes watching TV... sigh~ He doesn't like watching cartoons but TV shows that we normally watch. Looks small but matured preference, weird combination! Ha!

He found me taking his pictures again! Luckily Jo attracted his attention to another side and I managed to take down his cheerful look. He is so much attracted by and attached to his father now after I came back from China :)

And, look at this! Jayden showing his middle fingers!! This makes all of us laugh out loud, hahaha!

Jayden~ this little fellow really brings a lot of joys to us! My little prince~

Taking Jayden's photo

Jayden is close to 4 months old now and becomes more playful and talkative. He likes people playing with him, talking to him, making funny sounds and funny facial expressions. Jo always likes to have Jayden sitting on his lap and starts having their 'father and son' talk. Jayden likes it too!

Since Jayden has become more playful and active, I find it more difficult to take his pictures. He will gaze seriously at my camera when he finds me trying to take his pictures, just like this:

Or, maybe a little bit more cheerful look, like this:

The only way to take nice pictures of him is to take it without his notice. In this case, he won't be looking at the camera but other side and this is the minus point. But, looking at the pictures I got, I think still ok.

Cartoon and funny Jayden~

The Red family

It was Jo's birthday! We decided to have one casual family photo, with everyone wearing Liverpool jersey. Of course, Jayden wore his first Liverpool kit that his father bought him earlier. It is still a little bigger for him. I think it will be just nice when he turns to 5 months old.

I think he likes his Liverpool kit well. In this photo, he seemed to be getting ready for a heading. I think Jayden really looks like Jo, just like a chop!!

Looking straight to the camera, say Happy Birthday daddy~

Great daddy!

I was away to China for the last five days and Jo was the one taking care of Jayden other than my mum. It was the first time the father and son being together without me...

I know Jo can handle his boy for sure, but I was still worried. I must say that Jayden was really a good boy when I was not around. I remember I told him to be good before I left home and he did it! And I must praise Jo for his ability, willingness and patience in taking care of his little hero while I was away. He not only took care of Jayden but also did all the house cleaning. I'm sure not many daddies willing and able to do that, but my daddy Jo at home did it very well!!

Unlike most of the men, Jo always give me a hand in all the house chores. He will wash clothes, mop floor, wash toilets... And he cares of me even more than before. He will wake up in the middle of the night to place a pillow behind my back (to reduce my backache) when I'm breastfeeding Jayden. Sometimes he may even massage for me while I'm breastfeeding Jayden. He will help to put Jayden to sleep when I don't feel well, giving me more time to rest.

I know all these don't come for sure and should not take things for granted. It is something that I should cherish and appreciate. I believe in 'Like father like son'. I hope Jayden will grow into a man like his father.

Dear, thanks a lot!
