Jayden found his hands

Jayden keeps looking at his hands nowadays. I find him sometimes gazing at his hands for a very long time. I think he found his hands and he is so amazed by his new explore!

He likes to lick and suck his fingers since he was 2 months old but he could not control his hands well. So, he used to miss his fingers half way licking or sucking and started crying. Not anymore now!

Recalling Hokkaido trip~

It is time for company team building again! This reminds me of the last year management retreat - Hokkaido! It was the trip I bought the magic cup for Jo as his birthday present.

I miss the food and hot springs there. I still can smell the fresh king crab smell now! No wordings can describe how pleasant the trip was than pictures...

First night at Noberibetsu, a hot springs area. All hotel guests are requested to wear kimono.

King crab~ still alive! It 'bite' my fingers and that's why I shouted when I took this photo.

Seafood feast! Salmon was the lowest grade, king crab was the best!

Cheers~ visit Asahi beer factory.

Having ice cream during winter, shiok!

Music box house.

In Hokkaido city... kuso!

We are going to Huangshan, Hangzhou this year! I know I will miss Jayden for sure~ And will worry about Jo too!

Sling sling sling

Jayden is growing up and getting heavier. Yet, he is still a little manja boy who always asks for carry. He hates craddle position. I have to carry him in tummy-to-tummy position. This causes backache and shoulder pain.

I think I should get myself and Jayden a baby wearer! There are so many types: mei tai, ring sling and pouch sling. I decided to go for ring sling, easier to adjust and yet stylish. And finally I got my ring sling on Tuesday!

Jayden likes his ring sling. It must be very comfortable as he fall asleep within minutes the first time I put him in. I like my ring sling too. It is so much easier for me to carry him around, while still keeping my hands free for other things. I use it at home to put him to sleep, snugg him in when we are in the car, put him in when we go to clinic... and more later!

Me and Jayden with our first ring sling. He is sleeping, again! Haha...

Cheerful Jayden

Since Jayden has recovered from colic, he becomes a more cheerful baby than before. I can leave him in the bouncer or on bed for about half an hour without entertaining him, still he can remains cheerful.

He is close to 3 months old now and starts 'talking' and 'singing'. He likes to look at downlight or fan, and talks to it. He starts gurgle too! When I talk to him, he will look at my lips and response to me. When I sing to him, he will follow after me by making ah~, uah~ or u~ sounds. He starts communicating with people by making those simple sounds other than crying. I am so amazed by his progress!

I love my cheerful prince!

Made in China

I went to Meizhouwan, Fujian for work for the past five days and there was no direct supply of breastmilk to Jayden. To keep the production, I have to pump it out. And I decided to try my luck to bring it back home for Jayden - breastmilk made in China!

Frozen breastmilk can last for 3 months. It can last for 48 hours after defrost. So I requested a favour from the hotel cafe to freeze my breastmilk in their freezer and took it out on the day I checked out from the hotel. Then I kept the frozen breastmilk in a cooler bag, wrapped it well with a thick jacket and put it into my luggage bag. Considering the travelling time from hotel to the airport, from Fuzhou to Malaysia, and from KLIA back to my house... my breastmilk could probably partially defrost. Jayden must finish it by the following day.

I managed to freeze and bring back close to 30 ounces of breastmilk, and dumped 4 ounces that failed to freeze.

30 ounces are just nice for Jayden's one day requirement. I am glad I did it!
