给爸爸的一封信

爸，

很久没有这样叫爸了，感觉这称呼是多么的亲切却又遥远。爸是不是也和我一样想念着这一个称呼？

爸过得好吗？我永远没有办法看到爸在那里的一切，但我一直相信爸是看到我们的。有时候，我甚至会感觉到爸就在我的身边，在我消极无助的时候给我力量，让我继续努力往前走。

爸，我长大了。我不再是那个坐在爸腿上，玩弄着爸的胡须的小女儿了。我也不再是那个常常睡迟，要爸载我到学校的小女儿。以前那个调皮爱撒娇的小女儿，今天是别人的妻子和一个孩子的妈。

爸看过子乐吗？我除了希望他能够像他爸爸那样的爱护家人和细心体贴，也希望他能够像爸一样，有一颗善良温柔的心，还有对凡事都保持着正面积极的想法和态度。

今天是爸的生日，祝您生日快乐！我爱您！

Jayden exploring the house

Jayden can move around the house freely with his walker. He is curious in everything, especially those he saw but couldn't reach last time. He is exploring......

Not sure daddy or mummy allows me to touch it...

Maybe I can climb out from this walker and crawl over to have a look??



This is daddy's and mummy's new year decoration!

Sometimes he is very quiet and serious in observing things he sees or touches.
Sometimes he talks a lot...
Jayden is growing very well, so does his curiosity!

Jayden is not as stationery as before. He needs to move around, explore more things. We think it is time to get him a walker.

We bought him a 'boy-walker', with aeroplane autostyle and pilot stickers around the walker. It also has a few buttons that play different nursery rhymes when you push on it. It is a new big toy for Jayden.



Jayden was checking on those functions available on his 'aeroplane'. He was looking here and there, and accidentally pressed on the music button. Everything looks very interesting to him. He didn't realise this is something that can move him around.

At the beginning, he doesn't want to stay in the walker for long time because he can't control it well. We let him manage it slowly. Now, he wants to sit in his walker the moment he sees it. He can now move it forward, backward, sideway... around the house!

IT savvy

Jayden is full of curiousity!

For things like remote control, camera and handphone, he will
1. crawl to it
2. touch it, swing it up and down a little
3. grab it closer to his mouth
4. lick and put into his mouth

That day he found something bigger - laptop! This is new to him.



He couldn't swing it up and down or put it into his mouth. He sat infront of it, looked like he was using it, typing some documents... ha!



And that was what happened to the laptop:

Jayden taking solid food

Jayden is 7 months old now. He starts showing interest in food we are eating. It is time for solid food!



Jayden didn't show much interest when he first saw the wheat paste. We fed him the first teaspoon and that was his look. He didn't swallow it immediately but left some on his lips, tasting it slowly.

"Ee~~~ Daddy mummy, what's that??"
"Can I swallow it??"



Again, we fed him the second teaspoon. He checked on it to make sure it is something eatable.

"Again? Let me check first!"
"Ok... I like it! Yummy~~~"



He was waiting for the next teaspoon, next next teaspoon...

"Erm... this is something I like!"
"Give me more!"

10 years, my dear | 十年了，亲爱的

Time flies~
Today is our 10th anniversary - We have been together for 10 years...
Today is also our 2nd year of marriage...

I didn't realise about the amount of time we have been together until we talked about it one day. 10 years is not long if the person is someone you want to be with for life, I would say it is too short. But it means something, it is a milestone for a relationship!

时间过得很快，转眼已经十年。
2000年的今天，我们说好要在一起，一走就是十年。。。
2008年的今天，我们说好“我愿意”，携手走过了两年。。。

我并没有一天一天的计算我们在一起的时间有多长，偶然间和你聊起才发现原来我们在一起的日子不短。但我还是觉得十年太短了，因为我还想要有更多的时间和你相处，我希望这是一辈子的事。

谢谢你给我的这十年，我们的未来还有很多个十年。。。

Jayden fashion show time - CNY 2010

This is Jayden's first Chinese New Year, and it is his fashion show time!! As I promised in my previous blog, I have taken down his everyday new year look:


First day of CNY (大年初一), Jayden was wearing the 'China suits' I bought from Hangzhou. He was very excited and happy. He laughed all the way... like wishing everyone Happy Chinese New Year!


Here comes the Liverpool boy! Jo and I also wore our Liverpool jersey. We are Liverpool family!!!

This shirt isn't meant for CNY, it is an old shirt. I let him wear because Jo bought himself a similar one for this CNY. Jayden looks very handsome and smart, like father like son!


Lastly, our superboy!!! Our superboy just woke up not long ago when I took this picture of him.

This CNY is a special one, the first CNY we had with Jayden. We used to spend more time at friends' house. But we spent more time at home and with family this year, I think partly because we have Jayden and my sister-in-law has Ashlynn, who is few months older than Jayden. Both kids enjoying time at home, and so do the adults. I feel the togetherness becomes stronger...

我们家过新年啦~

今年是我们搬进新家的第一个新年。。。我们在新年前夕给她换上了带有新年气息的装饰。



比起别人家，我们家的新年布置显得简单许多。。。
门前挂上两颗大红的黄梨吊饰，寓意新的一年里旺旺来；
门框挂上两个写有“满”字的米斗吊饰，寓意新的一年里一切圆圆满满；
门边的墙上挂上“福”字，寓意新的一年福到家门，五福临门！



一进家门，进入眼帘的是大红的双鱼中国结吊饰，寓意年年有余，双双对对；
门的右边贴上写有“出入平安”的门联，寓意一家平平安安；
门的左边鞋架挂上两个中国结，眨眼看似富贵花，寓意新的一年又富又贵！



最后在客厅挂上十二生肖吊饰，寓意每一个生肖年都多福多寿！
我们也摆了一篮的柑和一些新年食品，欢迎大家来拜年，呵呵！
